I was born in Mansfield, Ohio on August 21, 1973. I graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1991. I attended Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio and received my Bachelor’s Degree in Communications in 1998. After graduation, my mother suggested that I try becoming a teacher. For the next two years, she continued to push me in this direction until I decided to become a sub. I substituted in my old school district for a year, and the weirdest thing happened; I actually enjoyed being in the classroom. The next year, I took the required classes and tests to become a teacher and applied to the Mansfield Alternative School. I worked there for six years until I decided to move to Florida. I obtained a job at Oak Park School in Pinellas Park, Florida until it closed. Out of work, I began applying to different schools in Pinellas County. I found Enterprise High School and was hired on the spot. I’ve been working here since the 2008- 2009 school year.
